La Trifouillette Blanche begins with a challenging start: the initial 650 metres ascend at a 9% gradient before participants navigate the wooded trails surrounding Igny, in Essonne. The event features 10 km and 20 km trail races. The longer route includes 500 metres of elevation gain and is classified as Trail XS based on effort and distance.
The routes traverse paths within the forests of Igny, Normandie, and Verrières-le-Buisson. Consequently, the race emphasizes short ascents, forest tracks, and varied terrain over flat road speed. Participants begin and conclude in a village atmosphere, with a pre-race warm-up and a mountain-style refreshment station at the finish. This marks the event's fifth edition, and the organizers implement sustainable development practices in the race's preparation and execution.
