Le Cabilat Trail starts from the Salle Polyvalente Roger-Paul in Bordères-sur-l'Échez, a village in the Hautes-Pyrénées near Tarbes. It is a small road-and-trail race series with 5 km and 10 km running options plus a timed walk, capped at 400 bibs across all formats. The 5 km is open from the minime age group, the 10 km from cadets, and the walk is also for cadets and older runners or walkers.
The marked course leaves the centre of the village and heads toward the Bois du Commandeur on flat roads and paths, so the organizers describe it as accessible, quick, and fun. The longer 24 km format can be dropped when storm damage makes the woods unsafe, which says a lot about the local, practical nature of the event. Runners and walkers are asked not to litter and to respect the plants and wildlife along the route. At the finish, each participant gets a snack and a gift, and Boubou Animation adds the race-day atmosphere.
