Le Cross du Figaro is a charity nature race in November at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, in Saint-Cloud just west of Paris. It opens the Téléthon campaign, so the event is tied directly to fundraising for rare-disease research rather than being only a running meet. Runners can choose from four main distances: 5 km for an accessible outing, the race’s traditional 10 km, and 15 km or 20 km routes aimed at more experienced runners.
The setting is the Parc de Saint-Cloud, a large historic park in Hauts-de-Seine, which gives the race a greener feel than a city-road event. Regular runners, amateurs, and professionals all line up, and the program also includes La BYD Night Run, a Friday evening race with a more relaxed and festive feel. Part of each entry fee, usually between 2 and 5 euros, goes to the Téléthon, and profits from event T-shirt sales are donated too.
