Le Flambeau de la Vie is a late-September charity road event in Paris, featuring a non-timed 10 km run and a 5 km walk. Its purpose is direct: encourage discussion about organ, bone marrow, and tissue donation, emphasizing the importance of communicating one's stance on organ donation. The event gathers transplant recipients, relatives, healthcare workers, volunteers, runners, walkers, and friends. The 5 km walk proceeds to Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques, and a symbolic route connected Beaujon, Bichat, and Lariboisière hospitals before concluding in the historic square of Saint-Louis hospital. The organizing association is a national group of healthcare system users, linking sport with adapted physical activity, transplant research, and public awareness.
