Le Printemps de l'ACVR 2027

Le Printemps de l'ACVR takes place in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, a historic town in the Aveyron region of southern France. This event has been held annually for nearly 40 years, structured as a family race day featuring road races, trail races, a walk, and children's events. Participants can select a 10 km road race or a 21 km half marathon. Trail runners have 14 km and 23 km course options. Additionally, a 10 km hike with approximately 300 meters of elevation gain is available for those who prefer the route without the competitive aspect. The location enhances the event's character beyond a simple out-and-back road race. Villefranche-de-Rouergue boasts a well-preserved old town and a heritage feel, while the surrounding Aveyron area offers hills, villages, and varied terrain for the trail courses. The inclusion of children's races facilitates family participation, distinguishing the day from solely an adult competition. To the south, the Parc Naturel Regional des Grands Causses provides an additional draw for a weekend visit, particularly for runners who appreciate mountain scenery and trails alongside their race performance.
