レースについて
The Trail Sévérois begins and ends at Place de la Halle in Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, a commune in central France. It offers three marked trail-running distances: 24 km, 13 km, and 8 km, crossing roads and paths. The participant limit is 499 runners, making it a locally sized race with controlled starts. Online registration is open via courir36.fr, with on-site sign-ups available at a slightly increased cost.
The routes feature inclines, river crossings, and the bocage landscape characteristic of the Indre region, ensuring even the shorter distances offer more than a simple village run. The Association des Coureurs de Fond Sévérois is the organizing body, with WEB TECHNOLOGIE managing the timing and courir36.fr publishing the results. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each category, provided they attend the prize ceremony held under the covered market hall. The event originated in the mid-2000s and is being revived after a six-year hiatus by Thierry Pioche, who directed it for its initial fifteen years.
