Le Trailhounet de Vernajoul 2026

Le Trailhounet de Vernajoul is a 10 km trail race and walking event in Vernajoul, Ariège, southern France. It takes place around mid-July in Occitanie, within the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park, offering a format for both runners and walkers. The primary 10 km trail is the most chosen option, with the same distance available as a walk. Children’s and juniors’ races establish it as a community event, not solely an adult trail run. The 10 km route is a single loop featuring varied terrain: asphalt, village streets, field paths, and rougher ground. It begins with flatter sections through Vernajoul, progressing to hillier parts and some climbs near the greenway. The Association Comité des Fêtes de Vernajoul organizes the race. By its earlier documented history, the event had reached its twelfth edition, marking it as a community fixture with established local origins.
