Les Arcades de l'Aqueduc is a March trail running event held at the sports complex in Milly-la-Forêt, located south of Paris in Essonne. Participants will run through the Forêt de Fontainebleau, around the Massif du Coquibus. The main distances offered are approximately 12 km and 23 km, in addition to an 8 km guided hike. The shorter trail involves about 150 to 170 metres of elevation gain, while the longer route has approximately 320 metres of climbing. This is a forest race with significant undulation, not a flat road race.
The event has taken place annually in March since 1997, maintaining a local and inclusive atmosphere. Beginners can opt for the shorter route or the hike, while experienced trail runners have a longer option designed for time spent in the woods. The 8 km route benefits a charitable cause and can be completed as a walk, attracting participants beyond just runners. Children are also catered for with the free Galopin des Arcades for ages 7 to 11, which is limited to 50 participants and requires an accompanying adult.
