Les Foulées douarnenistes is a 10.2 km road race held in Douarnenez, located on the Finistère coast of Brittany. Organized by the association Les Semelles douarnenistes, the event also features a walk. Combined participation ranges from approximately 500 to 1,150 people. The main race itself attracts about 1,100 runners, giving it the feel of a large community event rather than a small club gathering.
The course is noted for its scenic setting, though participants find it challenging. While enjoyable to run, the route demands constant pace adjustments. Competitive runners participate, with the winner completing the 10.2 km in 33:55 and a third-place female finisher recording 41:48. The field is diverse, reflecting an increase in female participation in such events. The 40th edition focused on disability inclusion, featuring seven teams competing with joëlettes.
