The Lyaud Trail begins and ends at Place Champ Dunant in Lyaud, a Haute-Savoie village overlooking Lake Geneva. Taking place in late March and organized by Les Chamois du Léman, this small mountain-trail event offers two races and a walk. The Grand Lyaud covers approximately 20 km with 1,300 m of elevation gain, the Petit Lyaud is about 9 km with 450 m of gain, and a 9 km walking route is also available.
The routes ascend Mont des Hermones in the Chablais region, crossing rolling paths and narrow singletrack. These trails provide open vistas of the Chablais Thononais and Lake Geneva. The shorter race, open to cadets and above, is suitable for a first trail run. The longer race appeals to participants seeking a concentrated yet steep mountain challenge. Hikers can participate via the walk. Runners receive a refreshment stop and a meal at the finish, with tartiflette served at the post-race gathering.
