Marche Nordique de l'Angoumois is a Nordic walking race organized by Grand Angoulême Athlétisme in Charente. Its competition distances are structured around repeated loops rather than a point-to-point route. The main timed race is a 12 km Competition Nordic Walking Circuit over four loops, and the open timed option is about 9 to 9.5 km over three loops. It is usually staged in late autumn and has been held at sites including Ruelle-sur-Touvre and the Plaine des Glamots in Roullet-Saint-Estèphe, near Angoulême.
The race is part of the French Nordic walking structure, counting for local Charente challenges, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league challenge, and the national Marche Nordique Tour when listed on that calendar. Licensed FFA athletes can enter the competitive events, while non-licensed walkers can join with the required medical clearance. The day includes an introduction to Nordic walking technique and a guided 7 km walk led by G2A coaches, aimed at people who want to discover the surrounding villages and countryside without racing.
