Montée de la Madeleine is a mountain trail race in the Vosges. It starts at GÉOPARC in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges and finishes uphill at Col du Haut-Jacques. The race takes place in late November in the Grand Est region of France, offering two distances: 15 km with 800 m of elevation gain and 10 km with 500 m of elevation gain. A 10 km walk is also available, ensuring the event caters to more than just those seeking a challenging ascent.
The course crosses the Madeleine massif, with 98% of its length on natural trails. Full course marking and aid stations are provided. Entry is limited to 500 participants, creating a more intimate mountain race atmosphere compared to large urban events. The race holds a Regional FFA label, includes a gift at bib pickup, and provides a complimentary shuttle from the finish back to Géoparc. Dogs are permitted on the walk but not in the races. Participants should note that showers are not available at the finish.
