The Montée du Mont-Saint-Odile à la marche is a walking climb from Klingenthal in Bœrsch, France’s Bas-Rhin department, toward the summit of Mont-Saint-Odile. It takes place annually in November on Armistice Day and provides two 8.5 km routes: one for Nordic walking and one for regular walking.
The event is local in scale, with 90 participants in the most recent edition, but it has about 90 years of history. The course follows the climb to the mountaintop shrine linked to Sainte Odile. Recent results show Florian Mayer’s 11th consecutive victory and a women’s course record set by Bianca Maria Dittrich of US Pulversheim.
