Montée pédestre du Faron is a road race in Toulon, held on Easter Sunday, that challenges runners with an ascent to Mont Faron. The event begins in the city at 9 am, with recent starting points noted near Les Lices or the Routes district. The course concludes at Tour Beaumont, adjacent to the Faron memorial. The race covers approximately 11 to 12 km, varying by edition, and includes about 480 m of elevation gain, presenting a brief mountain-road challenge rather than a flat city 10K.
The route follows the road to Faron, with traffic management in place during the event. The finish offers a panoramic view of the Toulon roadstead as a reward for the climb. The competition is open to a wide range of participants, from cadets upwards in certain editions, and runners have a time limit of 1 hour and 50 minutes. Local Toulon clubs contribute to the organization. Practical arrangements are suited to an uphill race: participants may send gear to the finish, and spectators or those descending can benefit from a reduced cable-car rate.
