Nuit en Selle - Lyon is a night bikepacking ride from Lyon in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, with a 130 km gravel option that starts at midnight and runs through to morning. It is scheduled for early October and is built around riding after dark, sleeping outside, and making a weekend of it in the Lyonnais hills. The start and finish are easy to reach by train from Lyon, and entry starts from 69 euros per person.
The weekend route uses a loop of about 50-60 km per day on roads and paths around Lyon, passing villages and rolling countryside before a planned group bivouac. Riders can also choose the full overnight 130 km version, riding under the stars and through Lyon's lit streets before the bivouac. The format suits beginners trying bikepacking or a first night in a tent, as well as experienced riders who want a longer night effort. Organisers also hold a spare bag and a train bag, which makes the logistics simpler for people arriving without a car.
