Odysséa Bayonne 2027

Odysséa Bayonne is a charity running and walking event held in mid-April in Bayonne, located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region of southwest France. The course begins and concludes near Esplanade Roland Barthes, transforming the city pink for a local breast cancer fundraiser open to women, men, and children. The schedule includes a timed 10 km road race, a 5 km run or walk option, and a 1 km race for children. Participants can also join remotely during a broader April period, extending the fundraiser's reach beyond those able to attend on race day. The event is part of the larger Odysséa network, which hosts races throughout France to generate funds for breast cancer initiatives, with Bayonne's proceeds remaining local. Beneficiary organizations include the Ligue contre le Cancer des Pyrénées Atlantiques, Mieux Vivre Mon Cancer, and Les Battements d'Elles. This Basque Country event has attracted thousands, with one past edition seeing 3,980 participants raise 39,000 euros. Over 16 years, more than 37,000 individuals have participated. In previous years, the start line was positioned along the Allée des Platanes. The event encourages participants to bring their own bottles or cups, as disposable ones are not provided on the course or at the finish.
