L'Ogeuloise begins and ends in Ogeu-les-Bains, a village in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, set against the Massif des Pyrénées. This September event is on the Nouvelle-Aquitaine race calendar, featuring two main trail distances: 18 km and 10 km. The 18 km route includes approximately 400 metres of elevation gain, presenting a short mountain-area trail with significant ascent, rather than a flat road race. The schedule also offers timed and untimed hikes, races for children and juniors, and Canitrail and Canicross for participants with dogs.
The Ogeu-les-Bains festival committee organizes the day, creating a local multi-format sports gathering rather than an event solely for specialists. Walkers have multiple choices, including a 5 km walk for residents of medico-social centres, highlighting the event's broader community involvement. A recent edition attracted about 500 participants despite heavy rain making the courses challenging. Competitive runners still participate: Loic Robert won the 18 km trail, and the FCO team secured the top two mixed relay positions and the women's relay victory over 10 km.
