Raid de l'Iode 2026

Raid de l'Iode combines a trail run or walk with target shooting on the Norman coast. It takes place in Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer in Calvados, on the Côte de Nacre, typically in mid-October, offering 5 km and 10 km distances. The event functions as a summer biathlon, not a typical road race: participants run the course and shoot at a target from 10 meters with an air rifle. The courses utilize the coastal environment near Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, featuring natural terrain, technical trails, ascents, and descents instead of a flat city circuit. Runners and walkers may select finisher or competitor packages, and the 10 km can be completed in one or two laps. The race was initially supported by the local shooting club before being revived with DAAZ Normandie overseeing the running aspect and the Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer shooting club managing the shooting range, confirming the shooting as an integral part of the race's character.
