Raid INSA-INP is a student-organized multisport raid near Toulouse, held annually since 2009 by students from INSA and INP Toulouse. It claims to be France's largest student raid by participant numbers, open to multisport fans who seek a day focused on endurance, navigation, and teamwork. The main event typically occurs in April or May, offering two course options: la Vernette (40 km) and le Vernetton (70 km).
The race combines multiple disciplines instead of a single running course. Competitors will encounter trail running, cycling, mountain biking, orienteering, canoeing, run-and-bike, and occasionally a surprise stage. The student association manages all aspects, including course design, race oversight, communications, sponsorships, awards, parties, and concerts. The yearly schedule also includes Cours & Pédale, a November run-and-bike event at Pech David, and the Course du Terroir in winter. During the latter, runners find aid stations offering local food and beverages like pâté, cheese, and craft beer; its conclusion coincides with the launch party for Raid INSA-INP registration.
