Raid longe côte Sète Escapade hosts the French Longe Côte Championship in Sète, located on the Mediterranean coast in Hérault. This national coastal walking race meeting spans a three-day weekend. Competitor check-in and training occur on Friday, followed by races on Saturday and Sunday morning. Titles are awarded after the final events. The program features timed solo races of 50, 200, and 800 meters, a 400-meter pairs race, a 4x50 meter mixed club relay using single paddles, and an individual trail-longe côte event.
The participant range is wide, from age 12 to 70 and older. Visually impaired athletes can compete in 50 and 200-meter races with guides. The format has been updated for the new Olympiad, removing the former 1000-meter quarte race and introducing the 800-meter solo, the mixed club relay, and the trail-longe côte, a discipline experiencing rapid growth in maritime areas. This championship also commemorates its 10th edition with an exhibition reviewing the first nine championships, alongside a presentation by Thomas Wallyn, the sport's originator, discussing its origins.
