Rando VTT Mogette - Chauché is a Sunday morning nature outing held at the sports hall in Chauché, located in the bocage of Vendée. It features mountain-bike rides, gravel rides, and walking or trail routes, making it a communal outdoor day rather than a single competition. Organized by Chauché VTT, this is the event's 31st year. Registration is in the morning, with straightforward entry fees based on whether participants opt for just the route, a sandwich, or a full meal.
The walking and trail options range from 8 km to 23 km. The VTT routes cover distances from 29 km to 52 km, and the gravel routes extend from 53 km to 83 km. Annually, over 2,000 participants attend, including local cyclists and walkers, as well as regular outdoor enthusiasts seeking a well-organized day in the Vendée countryside. Volunteers from Chauché VTT meticulously prepare the circuits, and the mogette meal provides a distinctly local conclusion to the event; mogette refers to the Vendée white bean, frequently served with ham.
