Randonnée semi-nocturne - Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire 2026

The Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire evening riddle hike starts at 5:30 PM and 6:15 PM from the courtyard of Sainte Marie school. Organized by APEL École Ste Marie and Collège St Joseph, this event is structured as a family puzzle walk rather than a competition. Participants can select either a 5 km or 9 km route, solving clues as they progress. The hike is suitable for ages 8 and up, with separate entry fees for adults and children; children under 6 participate for free. The 25th edition maintains its local-school character. Walkers should bring a lamp and reflective vest. Prizes are awarded to those who correctly answer all riddles. Upon finishing, participants receive a complimentary aperitif and onion soup, with a refreshment stand available and the abbey visible. One euro from each registration supports Octobre Rose, blending a casual community outing, a light challenge, and a charitable donation.
