Randonnée VTT Nocturne Des Vallons De L'Ille is a mountain-bike night ride based in Chevaigné, north of Rennes in France's Ille-et-Vilaine department. Riders meet at the Salle Polyvalente, with VTT Canal Riders organizing the event. The format is more local randonnée than formal race: there are marked MTB options of 15, 25, and 35 km, with the shortest route set up as a family ride and the longer two built for riding after dark. The 15 km option includes about 200 m of climbing, while the 35 km route lists about 250 m, so the challenge comes from small hills, paths, and night riding rather than big mountain terrain.
The routes use tracks around Chevaigné and nearby communes such as Melesse, Betton, and Saint-Germain-sur-Ille, giving riders a countryside loop through the Vallons de l'Ille area. The family ride starts earlier and finishes with a snack and drink; the 25 and 35 km night rides start later, include one aid station, and end with a sandwich and drink. Front and rear lights, a fluorescent vest, and a helmet are required, which indicates the event prioritizes visibility on dark rural sections. Under-18 riders need parental authorization or an accompanying adult, and the low entry fees keep it close to its club-rando roots. Earlier editions already drew plenty of local mountain-bike riders to registration, and the event has reached its tenth edition.
