La Ronde de Reynès is a village running event held in Reynès, located in the Pyrénées-Orientales department of Occitanie, close to the French-Spanish border. Taking place in early March, it features two races and a walking option: La Cinglantane (5.5 km), La Randonnée de la Ronde (9.1 km), and La Ronde (approximately 14.4 km). The event maintains a small, local atmosphere with around 300 runners and 150 walkers, assisted by 60 volunteers and managed by a six-person committee.
The primary course begins in the village, ascends towards Le Collet (about 320 m), descends to Pont-de-Reynès (around 165 m), and crosses both roads and trails. Participants will go by the wooded track at Mas Vilacèque, the Can Borrell trail, the Moulin loop, and the ancient oak at Mas Santol, before ascending again near Cal Cascat, the highest point at approximately 330 m. The finish line is situated in front of the Mairie, with aid stations and changing facilities provided. The organizing body, Ronde de Reynès en Vallespir, expresses its local pride with the statement: “This Ronde is the Queen!”
