The Ronde des Ruelles guides runners through the streets, alleys, and paths of La Jarrie, a town in Charente-Maritime. It is a Sunday-morning event offering two adult distances, 5 km and 10 km, with a 1.2 km children’s race held later in the morning. The association ESL organizes it via Les Petits Mollets, the running section of Enfance Sports et Loisirs de La Jarrie.
The field is intentionally limited: the 5 km has a cap of 200 bibs and the 10 km, 400. A previous edition neared these limits, recording 197 finishers in the 5 km and 389 in the 10 km, suggesting a local race that reaches capacity rather than a large city event. Local artisans, shops, and public partners provide support for the organization, and the children’s race requires parental authorization, reinforcing the family-club atmosphere of the day.
