Ronde du Salbert is a late-winter running and walking event on the trails of Mont du Salbert above Belfort, in the Territoire de Belfort region of eastern France. It starts from Cravanche, in the valley between the Salbert hill and a neighboring hill, and offers short race options alongside longer trail distances, with formats that include nature trail running, road running, and Nordic walking.
The routes use the many paths around Salbert, the first “ballon” of the Vosges, with forest, lakes, and ponds around the course. Race names include Le petit Salbert for the 10 km and la Course des AS for a longer competitive option, while trail listings also mention a 21 km route with about 800 meters of climbing. The event has been part of local running in the Territoire de Belfort for a long time, and runners are told to expect either sun or spring showers.
