The RoureTrail du Camp Romain is a trail and nature race held in Le Rouret, a village in the Alpes-Maritimes located a few kilometers north of Cannes and Antibes. Taking place in late March, it features two trail distances: 9 km and 16 km. The shorter race involves approximately 300 meters of climbing, while the 16 km route ascends around 550 to 600 meters. Even the shorter distance provides a significant hill workout, not a flat run.
The races commence in Le Rouret. A 9 km hike option is offered for those who prefer to experience the route without competing. Children’s races and a Roman-themed animation village contribute to a local family day atmosphere rather than an event solely for runners. Organized by the Rouret parents’ association, proceeds support school projects for local students. As a relatively new event with only a few editions held so far, it maintains a community-run character.
