Run des Pertuis 2026

The Run des Pertuis is a 20 km foot race held in the La Rochelle area. It begins and ends in L'Houmeau, close to La Cabane du Pertuis. The race is organized by the seven Lions Clubs of the Rochelaise zone, with a limit of 650 participants. This makes it a local event with a set number of runners, not a large-scale competition. The course follows the Chemin des Falaises, crosses the Pont de Ré to Ile de Ré, and heads towards Rivedoux-Plage. Approximately 6 km of the race takes place on the beach before participants return via the bridge and the same cliff path. The event was initially launched by La Rochelle Doyen and later expanded into a project for the wider Lions Club zone. The race also serves a charitable purpose, with its proceeds benefiting Colore Mon Hôpital, an organization that supports children within the La Rochelle - Ré - Aunis hospital group.
