Run in Sennecey - Sennecey-le-Grand 2026

Sennecey-le-Grand hosts an afternoon road race with short events for children preceding the adult races. Children can compete in 1 km or 2 km runs, followed by adults selecting either a 5 km or a timed 10 km race. Both licensed and non-licensed runners are welcome, with modest entry fees of 1 or 2 euros for children and 5 or 10 euros for adults. The event is coordinated by the local tourist office, the municipality of Sennecey-le-Grand, and the community of communes between Saône and Grosne. The 10 km race adheres to French Athletics Federation regulations, requiring an FFA license, a valid medical Pass J'aime Courir, or a recent online PPS health-prevention certificate. All participants receive a gift at bib pickup, the top three finishers in each category are awarded prizes, and all runners get refreshments at the finish line. The race also contributes to Octobre Rose through partnerships with Toujours Femme and ONCOSSUP, with local businesses providing additional prizes, a refreshment stand, and snacks.
