Run & Skate is a two-part endurance race held in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, within the Chamonix valley. Participants run trails before transitioning to cross-country skis. The format is straightforward yet challenging: 12 km of trail running followed by 18 km of skating, requiring both running ability and ski fitness rather than a single specialization.
The race is organized by Ravanel & Co, the CMBM, and the Club des Sports de Chamonix. It has reached its seventh edition, establishing local significance beyond a singular mountain challenge. Its appeal lies in the unique combination: a runner must navigate mountain paths and then ski efficiently in one of France's renowned alpine valleys.
