The Semi-Marathon des Sources du Lac d'Annecy is a 21.1 km race through nature, starting and finishing at the Salle Polyvalente in Doussard, at the south end of Lake Annecy. Held in late September, entries are limited to 1,200 participants, maintaining a smaller scale compared to major city half marathons. The course is noted for being fast with minimal elevation gain, making it suitable for less experienced half-marathon runners and those aiming for a good performance.
The route runs along Lake Annecy's edge, passing through villages on the lake's southern side, with mountain scenery. It is part of the Trophée Léman Running, offering a discount to registered runners. The event provides standard runner amenities like bag drop, a medal, and a finisher photo, requiring the bib to be visible for the latter. Registration necessitates an FFA license or the French Pass Prévention Santé health requirement.
