Serre Chevalier Snow Trail is a winter trail race based in La Salle-les-Alpes, in the Serre Chevalier valley of the French Alps. It starts in the center of the old village and sends runners onto natural snow-covered routes rather than onto the resort’s ski runs. The event includes a short night trail of 8 km, and race categories run from juniors through veteran age groups.
The courses head toward the sunny side of the Guisane valley, away from ski lifts and groomed slopes. Runners climb steadily to Les Tronchets, a hamlet at 1900 m that serves as both a refreshment point and the place where routes split. The higher courses reach above 2400 m, so the race is more mountain outing than simple winter jog.
