Thusy en Trail is a trail-running event held in Thusy, a village in Haute-Savoie, eastern France, in early October. The shorter Trail du Moulin begins at 10:00 from the town hall square, covering a 12 km loop with approximately 300 meters of elevation gain. The series also features the longer Trail du tilleul, a 24 km loop with about 850 meters of elevation gain, alongside races for children and juniors. This event emphasizes nature, with the Trail du Moulin being about 80% off-road on paths and trails.
The Trail du Moulin is designed for runners seeking a manageable first trail race that isn't entirely flat. The course undulates rather than presenting continuous steep ascents, but includes two significant climbs and offers views of the Albanais, the Jura, La Tournette, and the Mont Blanc massif. Aid stations are provided once mid-course and again at the finish. The morning's schedule includes a Handisport Annecy-Quadrix start, a guided warm-up, a brief race talk, and the Trail du Moulin start featuring Joëlettes, the single-wheeled trail chairs that enable disabled participants. Advance registration is required; no on-site sign-ups are available.
