Trail de Château-Renard is a trail-running event held in the medieval village of Château-Renard, located in the Loiret department of north-central France. Participants can select from 10 km, 17 km, or 32 km distances, accommodating both new runners and those seeking a more substantial countryside challenge. The 32 km route covers 500 meters of elevation gain, offering a hilly terrain without classifying it as a mountain race.
The courses traverse the park of the Château de la Motte, with a refreshment stop at the church panorama. The local SAM RUN TRAIL club is associated with the event and also organizes the Course des Citrouilles. The club's members range from beginners to experienced athletes, training with varied paces, intervals, hills, and general conditioning, and competing in events from local races to major marathons and long trail runs.
