Trail de Gaudissart begins at the former school in Pélasque, a village area connected with Lantosque in the Alpes-Maritimes. It is a short mountain trail race held in mid-April, with a main distance of approximately 14 km and nearly 900 m of elevation gain. This makes it compact on paper but steep enough to feel like a genuine hill race rather than a quick road-style run.
The official course measures 13.42 km, ascending from about 636 m to 1,157 m before descending back to the start altitude, providing runners with a complete up-and-down loop. The race is organized by the Comité des Fêtes de Pélasque, with bib collection in the old school courtyard on race morning. Aid is straightforward, offering food and drink at km 9 and the finish. Participants must carry essential mountain safety equipment: water, a cup or bottle, an active phone, and a survival blanket. The 14 km format is intended as the popular distance, appropriate for a wide range of trail runners.
