The Trail de l'Abbaye de Lagrasse is a trail-running and walking event held in June in Lagrasse, Aude department, southern France. It begins at the village market halls, built in the 14th century, and provides several race options: the Charlemagne route of approximately 15 km, the Grande Corbières route of about 9 km (also for Nordic walkers), a shorter Petite Corbières route of around 5 km, and races for children. The event attracts a local and accessible field, with over 300 participants and more than fifty volunteers at a recent edition.
The courses lead from the village into the Corbières massif, crossing the old 14th-century bridge and passing landmarks like the capitelles, the chapel of Carla, and the Fesses de Charlemagne. Participants also traverse the abbey park before concluding in the main courtyard of the Abbey of Lagrasse, a site with buildings from various centuries. The event emphasizes its village roots, with local sponsors, volunteers managing aid stations and course marking, and all race profits benefiting the Lagrasse firefighters.
