The Trail de la 1ère Bataille de la Marne is a local outdoor race day in Mondement-Montgivroux, France’s Marne department, held in early April. Participants can choose a 12 km trail or a 25 km trail. Non-runners have a 12 km Nordic walk and a 12 km pedestrian hike offered on the same event program.
The marked routes circle the village and include sufficient climbing for trail running: approximately 200 meters of ascent on the 12 km course and around 500 meters on the longer trail, although one listing states the 25 km climb as 300 meters. SEZANNE ATHLE organizes the event, entries are limited, and the race name directly references the First Battle of the Marne, connecting the run to the local wartime history rather than presenting it as a standard countryside trail.
