The Trail de la Cote d'Emeraude 54 km begins in Saint-Benoit des Ondes and concludes beneath the ramparts of Saint-Malo, on Brittany's north coast. This is the event's longer race, with a 32 km option starting from Saint-Coulomb. The program takes place in September. The 54 km race holds an FFA Silver Label, awards 2 ITRA points, and has a UTMB Index of 50, targeting trail runners seeking a challenging coastal run.
The long course utilizes the GR34, the well-known coastal footpath connecting fishing villages, bays, headlands, and historic seaside towns along the Emerald Coast. Both the 54 km and 32 km races qualify for the Breton Championships and are part of the Challenge Credit Agricole 22/35. The event is approaching its 15th edition, with support from over 200 volunteers. High demand for bibs leads organizers to implement a resale system: sellers forfeit 20% of the entry fee, with a portion of that deduction allocated to charity, while buyers pay the standard price.
