The Trail de la Croix du Dan is a trail-running series held in Poligny, located in France's Jura region. The start line is situated at the main entrance of the Maison du Comté. Poligny has strong connections to Comté cheese and local trail running, and the event embraces these aspects by featuring runs on Jura paths followed by a festive, food-oriented atmosphere in the green spaces near the Maison du Comté.
Participants can select from three distinct routes: Prestige, covering 31 km with 700 m of elevation change; Fruité, at 23 km with 200 m of elevation change; and Doux, an 11 km route with 800 m of elevation change. The courses highlight local landmarks including La Corniche, the Culée de Vaux, the Croix du Dan, and the Moulin sur l'Ereu. They also wind through Jura vineyards, secluded valleys, caves, villages, monasteries, cloisters, and churches. Additionally, a solidarity hike is part of the program, extending the day's activities beyond just trail racing.
