Trail de la Glissoire takes place in mid-January in Avion, Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France. Participants can choose between an 8 km loop and a 16 km loop, both set within a public park surrounded by woodland. Notably, both distances feature 200 m of elevation gain, meaning the 8 km option provides a genuine trail challenge, not just a flat introduction.
The race structure is straightforward: one loop per distance. The 16 km is designated as the primary and most attended race. The event embraces its name with the motto “Glisse vers l exploit !”, translating to “slide toward the achievement.” It is designed for runners seeking a concise winter trail run, offering sufficient woodland and climbing to challenge stamina without the demands of an ultra-marathon.
