The Trail de la Saint Aubeu begins and ends in Cormicy, a village in the Marne department of France’s Grand Est region, held in early September. This nature trail event offers two distances: a 13 to 14 km race and a 25 km race for those seeking a longer morning on the hills. The 25 km route ascends approximately 500 to 600 meters, and the shorter route has about 360 meters of elevation gain.
The courses traverse the Saint-Thierry massif, featuring woodland tracks, rolling terrain, and consistent climbs rather than a flat road-race pace. The 25 km race typically starts an hour before the shorter distance, establishing a straightforward local-race schedule. Over 200 runners participated in the last edition, organized by AABEP Cormicy. Its local slogan, “Sors le Aubeu de chauffe !”, lends the race a distinct regional character.
