Trail de la Source begins in Babeau-Bouldoux, a village in the Hérault department of southern France. This trail-running event in the Minervois region offers race distances from approximately 10 or 11 kilometers to 23 kilometers. Runners can select a short, hilly course or a more challenging mountain-style route.
The 23-kilometer Le Roc de la Baumelle features 1,200 meters of elevation gain, and the 10-kilometer Le Monta Davala has 475 meters of climbing. The courses follow local footpaths surrounding the village, avoiding paved roads. The event maintains a community atmosphere with activities such as children’s games, a refreshment stand, and an optional meal. The Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers de Saint-Chinian, the local firefighters’ association, organizes the event.
