The Trail de la Vallée de la Course takes place on the first Sunday of April in Bezinghem, Pas-de-Calais, northern France. This trail event offers three running distances: 5 km, 15 km, and 30 km. The 30 km race is the challenging option, featuring approximately 600 metres of elevation gain and an estimated finish time of around five hours for many participants. Bib collection, the start, and the finish are all located at the village hall in Bezinghem, maintaining a single village hub for the day's activities.
The courses wind through the Vallée de la Course region, with undulating terrain, woodlands, and open countryside, distinct from a road race environment. Options for walkers are also available, with 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km routes, ensuring the event caters to more than just trail runners. Dedicated courses are provided for children and juniors. The race adopts the motto “the valley of self-transcendence,” most fitting for the 30 km course, which is designated as a demanding trail, not a simple walk in nature.
