Trail de Lorette is a hilly nature trail race held at the Lorette site in Le Quillio, a commune in Côtes-d’Armor, Brittany. Participants can select from three distances: 7 km, 14 km, and 21 km, with routes named Loup, Merlin, and Cromlech. The event attracts hundreds of runners and has sold out over a month in advance. The entry limit was increased to 600, but demand still exceeded availability. Organizers maintain this cap due to limited parking at the site and to ensure a manageable event, thus carpooling is recommended.
The courses follow the Quillio trails, featuring climbs, woodlands, and open countryside instead of flat road-race terrain. New sections have been incorporated west of the commune, near Le Roz and towards Saint-Guen. The local association Les Sentiers Quilliotais is responsible for year-round path maintenance. A unique aspect is the route passing through Ehpad Le Cosquer, allowing residents to observe and cheer the runners from their homes. Supporters in costume have also contributed to the festive atmosphere, and the event depends on numerous volunteers and municipal support.
