Trail de Mirmande is a spring trail-running event held in Mirmande, a hilltop village in the Drôme designated one of France’s most beautiful villages. Taking place on the last weekend of March, it features four main races: a short night run of approximately 10 km and a 40 km trail with about 2,000 metres of elevation gain. The schedule also includes a 14 km mountain race, a 29 km race, hiking options, and duo entries, ensuring the weekend caters to more than just long-distance runners.
The routes traverse the steep terrain surrounding Mirmande, with stone houses, ancient gateways, and narrow medieval streets overlooking the Rhône valley. The 12th-century Saint Foy Church crowns the village, offering valley vistas, with nearby points of interest such as Cliousclat, a village known for its pottery, Marsanne featuring its historic village and church ruins, and the 3 Becs overlooking the plain of Puy St Martin. Saturday's activities include bib collection, the mountain race, the night race, and a pasta party; Sunday focuses on the longer races and hikes.
