Trail des 3 Combes is a spring trail-running and walking event held in Montbrun, a village in the Lot department of Occitanie. The races traverse the Cajarc causse, near the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park, offering options for runners and walkers. The main trail is approximately 23 km with 1,000 meters of elevation gain. Shorter race formats cover 10 to 12 km with less climbing. A separate course for walkers spans about 8 to 15 km, adjustable to participant preference.
The course name reflects its layout: the more challenging routes connect a series of valleys, descending into one and ascending toward the next. One route begins with a descent towards Montbrun Castle before climbing back, then proceeds toward the Cadrieu causse over undulating terrain. The shorter trail is designed for those new to off-road running but also suits faster participants seeking a quick local run. The walk follows paths between the Montbrun and Cadrieu causses, along cliff edges overlooking the Lot valley. The event maintains a modest scale, welcoming amateurs and experienced athletes, with bib collection just before the start and meals offered via reservation.
