Trail des 7 Laux is a summer mountain trail event held in Prapoutel, at the Les 7 Laux resort in the Isère mountains. All races begin and end near the Bouquetins chairlift, with loop courses utilizing paths, ski slopes, forest tracks, and wooded areas. The primary running distances are 25 km, 18 km, and 10 km, accommodating both experienced trail runners and individuals seeking a shorter mountain race. The 25 km course ascends 1,650 meters, the 18 km ascends 1,050 meters, and the 10 km nature race includes 450 meters of elevation gain.
The event is organized by CAPRG, the Club Athlétique Pontcharra La Rochette Grésivaudan, in partnership with the Belledonne Chartreuse Tourist Office and with support from the resort community. The course design keeps all activities centered in Prapoutel, directing runners through forests, open ski-slope terrain, and to viewpoints overlooking the Isère mountains. A 10 km Nordic walk follows the reverse of the 10 km running course, without rankings, alongside a short introductory Nordic walk with limited participation. Children have their own activities, including a tourist-office biathlon animation and medals, while volunteers, aid stations, and local logistics contribute to the event's club-run mountain atmosphere.
