Trail des Auri'gines is a trail-running event in Aurignac, Haute-Garonne, organized by the local association Aurignacourt. It offers several race options: short and middle-distance trails, a challenging long course with significant elevation gain, a free 9 km walk, and races for children and juniors. Recent editions featured routes of approximately 9 km, 16-17 km, and 26-35 km. The more demanding courses involve climbs from about 750 m to 1200 m, marking it as a hilly rural trail event, distinct from flat road races. Some years also include a non-timed 12 km option for those preferring a leisurely outing.
The routes traverse paths around Aurignac, connecting wooded hills, local viewpoints, old buildings, and monuments. The longest course provides views toward the Pyrenees. The event hub is located near the Donjon and the Cafetière, where bib collection and starts take place. Children have their own obstacle and Run Color-style races, and walkers can use the 9 km trail without cost. Aid stations feature organic or local products, and a free meal is provided for racers and their guests at the finish. The day's activities can extend to visits at the Aurignacian Forum Museum, a reception at Boussan Castle, and open access at Notre-Dame de Lorette. Its slogan, “It will bring you back to your Origins!”, aligns with the race name and Aurignac’s ancient prehistoric heritage.
