Trail des Bauges 2026

Trail des Bauges begins in the mountain village of Châtelard-en-Bauges, Savoie, within the Regional Natural Park of the Massif des Bauges. This summer mountain trail event offers three distances: 10 km, 21 km, and 48 km. The 48 km race can be completed as a two-person team. Bauges Ski Nordique organizes the event with local volunteers, and it is listed in the UTMB Index. The course departs the village swiftly, entering forest trails towards Mont de Julioz before continuing its ascent to the Col de la Bornette. The terrain is characteristic of mountain running, featuring altitude, cliffs, forest paths, and significant elevation gain. Though a relatively new race series, now in its ninth edition, it possesses the practical organization of a seasoned local trail event, including timing, results, race photos, multiple distances, and a format accommodating solo runners or duos for the 48 km course.
