The Trail des Hautes Vosges is a mountain trail race series held in Le Ménil, located in the Vosges region of eastern France. It features three distinct, chip-timed races: a 14 km course with 600 m of elevation gain, a 30 km course with 1,250 m, and a 42 km course with 1,800 m. All races commence and conclude at Salle La Familiale on rue du Général de Gaulle, establishing a centralized village hub instead of dispersed start and finish points.
The courses primarily follow marked paths and trails in the vicinity of Le Ménil. Aid stations, offering both sustenance and hydration, are situated at specific locations including Le Sécheneux and Larcennaire. The event is recognized within the UTMB Index, providing a benchmark for runners monitoring their performance in mountain races. The race maintains a practical, community-focused approach, requiring participants to carry a functional mobile phone, display a visible race bib, and bring their own cup for aid stations. A meal service commences later in the morning, with a limited number of full meals available on-site once the races are underway.
